Loch Lomond "Croftengea" 18 Year Old
The Loch Lomond Distillery is truly a one-of-a-kind distillery with 3 different still types (Pot Stills, Lomond Stills, and Column Stills), 4 different yeast types, and varying barley types (unpeated, moderately peated, and heavily peated).
Croftengea is usually peated, but unusually ever seen at this age, independently bottled.
This Loch Lomond was distilled in 2005, aged 18 Years in an ex-Bourbon cask. It is heavily peated, under the style of Croftengea. At 50.6%, it drinks comfortably, with official notes of Honey, Cocoa, Pickled Onions and Smoke!
